ABOUT THE ROLE:

BlueVine is looking for a product-oriented business leader to amplify the growth of our business banking product through strategic partnerships and growth opportunities. You will build partnerships with some of the top technology companies and service providers in the SMB ecosystem. You will drive substantial revenue and customer growth for BlueVine, and work cross-functionally to take high-visibility new offerings from 0 to 1.

This role is ideally suited for someone with an analytical background who wants to drive measurable commercial impact at a fast-paced and high-growth technology startup. This is not a sales role, but you have enough business development experience to know how to influence key decision makers. You understand how to steer cross-functional teams and partner relationships to desired outcomes because you have done it before. You have a sophisticated approach to grasping market dynamics and business strategy, even when faced with industries that are new to you. 

This is not a fully remote role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment.  All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and follow a hybrid model.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead the expansion of our Business Insurance marketplace, which which connects BlueVine’s small business customers to a network of insurtech partners
  • Identify and validate additional partner-powered offerings that BlueVine can pursue
  • Develop high-impact GTM and Product Strategy working closely with cross-functional partners in  Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Support
  • Identify key trends in the SMB Banking and SaaS industries, and turn insights into action
  • Build BlueVine’s BD & Growth team as an early member

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years (8+ preferred) of total work experience including 2+ years building revenue generating technology partnerships at a technology company. Additional experience in Management Consulting, M&A, or investing is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience framing complex business and investment decisions for VP/C-suite decision makers
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes, demonstrated by impact in previous roles; experience working with product, marketing, and support teams is a must
  • Experience structuring deal terms and autonomously handling ongoing commercial discussions with partners
  • Willingness to take calculated business risks, with examples of having done so in the past
  • Strong executive presence and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
