Position Summary:
This Sr. B2B Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth of Samsung's Employee Purchase Programs ("EPP") through management of relationships with key EPP aggregators, as well as driving penetration of EPP programs directly with third-party companies.

Role and Responsibilities

Employer Purchase Program ("EPP") Aggregator Management

  • Manage relationship with assigned EPP aggregators
  • Negotiate quarterly/annual marketing plans maximizing revenue during key drive periods for products sold on Samsung.com
  • Ensure that overall return on investment ("ROI") and return on ad spend ("ROAS") are within appropriate financial parameters, in order to ensure profitable growth through each aggregator.
  • Work with aggregators to develop "never been done before" initiatives to increase awareness of Samsung's EPP program by employees within the employers served by each aggregator
  • Develop thorough understanding of aggregator's overall go-to-market plans, strategies and tactics, in order to ensure that Samsung is consistently receiving exposure commensurate with market share and revenue growth goals.
  • Ensure that data sharing practices are occurring between aggregator and Samsung, in order to allow personalization of offers, product visibility, etc. to occur across each aggregator's employer portfolio
    EPP Program Awareness - Direct Relationships
  • Within the large employer organizations with which Samsung has direct EPP program relationships, ensure consistent understanding of how each organization promotes such programs to their employees.
  • Function as "Subject Matter Expert," to direct employers, providing thought leadership on how EPP programs lead to increased employee engagement and morale, and making recommendations on how employers can improve employee awareness of Samsung's EPP program.
  • Function as primary relationship manager with the individuals within each employer organization who are responsible for oversight of employee benefit/discount programs
  • Working with appropriate B2B sales team members, develop and execute initiatives within direct employers that lead to increased awareness of Samsung's EPP program, as well as increased sales.
    General Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships within SEA, such that individual is looked upon as a true "subject matter expert," in the area of Employee Purchase Programs, advising other key areas of the SEA organization on the benefits of leveraging such programs as part of overall category growth.
  • Perform other functions as required by eCommerce leadership.



Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong, demonstrable knowledge of "pay for performance" eCommerce marketing/sales programs, such as EPP and or affiliate marketing, is required.
  • Digital marketing experience, preferably within an eCommerce business
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce marketing best practices and trends; eCommerce marketing thought leadership
  • Ability to navigate the Samsung organization to gather information, elicit feedback, gain buy-in, and engage others in B2C activities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. In addition, must be able to manage multiple projects and often competing priorities.
  • 3 - 5 years of equivalent work experience required.
  • College degree required.
  • Proficiency in all components of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of direct-to-consumer eCommerce business practices and operations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading eCommerce marketing and/or sales generation programs is required.
  • Product/category marketing and/or marketing services experience, for consumer electronics and/or technology products, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of premium brand channel sales, marketing, and operational processes is desirable.
  • Extreme attention to detail is required.

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.



Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
