About the Team
The Workday Field Service Executive team plays a meaningful role in connecting Workday's services organizations ensuring that we are supporting subscription sales by differentiating Workday's services approach and methodology, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their business objectives.
Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects and customers, working to Workday's core values of Customer Service and Integrity, and protecting Workday's consistent track record of customer happiness.
Successful candidates will be passionate about working as part of an account team supporting sales cycles; engaging with customers to develop deployment strategies and plans that meet their requirements; and handling detailed and sophisticated information to prepare estimates, proposals and contracts.

About the Role

As a Workday Field Services Executive for our Professional Services Sales organization, you will be responsible for planning, management, and execution of all Professional Services business development activities in your area. You will be a key team member of the Workday Pre-sales Services team, working alongside the Workday Account Executives, driving Workday Subscription sales across Workday's market segments.

You'll use your experience with consulting sales and project delivery to help prospects put together a plan for a successful project, including resources, timeline, and costs.

You'll employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Workday's SaaS Solutions and Platform technologies as the efficient, modern alternative, and you will be a professional in Workday's innovative deployment methodology.

You will work closely with Workday Service Partners to help them plan successful projects and grow their business.

What you'll do:

Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs so you can effectively position the value of Workday's innovative deployment methodology and Professional Services.

Present Workday Customer Services overview and conduct services discovery sessions.

Create and validate Professional Services Proposals and high-level Project Plans.

Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with Workday Service Partners.

Assess project team training needs for prospects and customers.

Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.

Manage, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work (SoW) and other contractual documentation

Provide support for services activities and events.

About You

We have two different levels of opportunity being advertised; a Services Executive and Senior Services Executive. Basic qualifications and other qualifications specific to both levels can be viewed below.

1) Services Executive:
Basic Qualifications (BQs)

  • 2+ years' experience leading Financial or ERP implementation projects - ERP OR Financial Software systems, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement
  • 2+ years' experience in Professional Services sales in ERP Software

Other Qualifications (OQs)

  • Proven track record in managing sophisticated services sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful service revenue and profitability attainment preferred
  • Understand and can optimally explain the benefits of cloud architecture.
  • Solid understanding of vendors, products, and services in the Financials Enterprise Application space.
  • Great presentation skills while participating in a fast-paced, sophisticated product and services sales cycle.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.

2) Senior Services Executive:
Basic Qualifications (BQs)

  • 4+ years of Financials, or Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) experience - for example, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Financial/Workforce Planning, Financial Performance Management or comparable.
  • Experience with or exposure to top vendors, products, and services in Enterprise application space.

Other Qualifications (OQs)

  • 3+ years of services sales experience in a business-to-business environment is preferable, but not required.
  • 2+ years working in an accounting or financial organization preferred
  • Project Management Experience in Consulting Delivery in an enterprise-class customer environment, and experience with SaaS is a plus.
  • Excels at management of time and resources to support critical sales cycles
  • Standout colleague, with capability of working independently.
  • Executive level presentation skills while participating in a fast-paced, sophisticated product and services sales cycle.
  • Understand and effectively explain the benefits of a SaaS architecture.
  • Ability to describe and explain financial business process flows and understand critical elements to optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Executive level verbal and written communication skills.
