Role Responsibilities

Are you passionate about learning and development? Secureworks is taking global learning and development to the next level. The Global Learning & Development team is looking for an energetic and experienced Strategic Learning Business Partner Senior Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to create, implement and drive the Secureworks sales (Direct, Channel & Partner) learning strategy and oversee our team of sales learning specialists. The sales learning initiatives are designed to align with our Secureworks FY23 strategy and will equip our global sales organization with the skills and experiences they need to successfully drive our company into the future - it is a high visibility and high impact opportunity!

This role is responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing the sales learning organization, including sales learning and instructional design specialists.
  • Partnering with the sales, marketing & channel industry leaders, HR partners, and functional heads, to analyze and determine performance needs and develop the associated learning strategy for Secureworks' global sales organization.
  • Proactively working to identify new and unanticipated opportunities where learning can deliver business value through people performance (this includes providing performance consulting and thought leadership in areas such as learning technologies and performance measurement, for example).
  • Facilitating in-depth performance needs analysis to fully define development and organization effectiveness needs for the global sales audience and translate identified needs into strategic and tactical learning plans that can be subsequently implemented and executed. This also includes looking beyond the obvious to identifying where formal training is not the best solution and subsequently making the appropriate recommendations.
  • Fully documenting learning requirements and collaborating with the instructional designers within the team to ensure that learning requirements can be developed into cost effective learning programs that use the most appropriate models, technologies, and resources, and jointly plan and negotiate prioritization of resources to meet business needs.
  • Working across the learning team to measure and evaluate program effectiveness and communicate results with all stakeholders (with a strong focus on business results and ROI) to ensure that the current training needs are being met.



Minimum Requirements

  • 5-10+ years managing a global, remote, learning team
  • 5-10+ years of experience in driving learning & development strategy; direct, channel & partner sales learning experience is desired
  • Demonstrated high level of skill and experience in learning design and implementation
  • Very strong small and large group facilitation skills
  • Experience with project, program, and vendor management
  • Knowledge of applying virtual learning technologies
  • Experience in designing blended learning resources
  • Strong knowledge and experience designing & developing learning solutions, geared towards a sales audience

  • Strong critical reasoning, and ability to formulate and work with conceptual frameworks
  • Ability to influence business leaders at an executive level

  • An innovative mindset that isn't afraid to challenge the status quo!
  • Knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the full range of current and emerging learning delivery methods used to develop a global sales organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high impact solutions to meet business needs
