The focus of the Sales Manager's role is to lead a team of Services sellers to enable the realization of Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) goals to enable every company to be a digital business, driving production level consumption with Enterprise customers through Digital Transformation and Modernization. Key accountabilities:

  • Planning & Executing as One Microsoft:, Define & drive execution of the sales plan for your team, working in partnership with MCS & Enterprise Operating Unit (EOU) leadership to ensure frictionless orchestration & a One Microsoft experience for customers
  • Leading a Healthy, Predictable Sales business: Achieve or exceed targets, ensuring sales hygiene, four quarter rolling pipeline coverage & deal excellence, continuously coaching sellers to improve sales excellence proficiency & behaviors
  • Driving Customer Outcomes & Consumption: Drive intentional selling of priority MCS industry scenarios & sales motions to enable desired customer outcomes & cloud consumption
  • Developing & Maintaining a High-Performing Team: Build a team which is diverse and inclusive, developing seller proficiency in the core capabilities & skills required for their role, guiding career development & role modelling Microsoft Leadership Principles & Practices

Responsibilities

  • Sales background, with 5+ years of experience leading high-performing sales teams in Software & Cloud Services organizations and consulting solution sales experience.
  • Proven sales expertise, with a track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership & Interpersonal skills, coaching, cross-group collaboration and the proven ability to influence
  • Demonstrable sales excellence discipline
  • Experienced in complex sales methods & processes
  • Knowledge of Cloud Economics
  • Bachelor's degree with exposure to Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • Track record of leading teams selling & delivering complex Services solutions to Enterprise customers
  • Travel requirements approximately 25% - 75% depending on location

  • Sales Leader - Ability to: lead sales strategy, effectively translating organizational strategy & business requirements into team directions & plans that deliver success. Skilled in Sales strategy & planning & leading successful sales teams by creating clarity & generating energy, as well as change management, relationship building, collaboration & influencing through partnerships & networks
  • Sales Excellence Driver - Ability to: drive sales discipline & accountability. Skilled in coaching sellers to drive sales excellence behavior improvements & increase proficiency in lead management, opportunity qualification & close planning, pipeline hygiene & deal forecasting
  • Market Leader - Ability to: Anticipate market changes & opportunities to drive business growth. Skilled in : influencing CXOs, inspiring customer confidence & passion, engaging on high profile deals to inspire & coach sellers by example; & connecting customer insights with sector/industry technology & business trends to identify market gaps, leveraging executive relationships to continuously grow the business
  • People Leader - Ability to: attract, inspire & retain high-performing individuals. Skilled in activating inclusion, hiring diverse talent, managing rewards & performance & continuously coaching to develop proficiency & enable career progression
    • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or technology related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
      • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 6+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing and/or driving business growth or customer digital transformation, sales management, or leadership
      • OR equivalent experience.
      • 3+ years people management experience.
  • 5+ years consulting solution sales experience.
