Reporting to the Director of Negotiations, this role will play a pivotal part in the journey of Truebill users as they improve their financial health. Millions of people have substantial credit card debt that impacts their daily lives and high APR interest rates are a significant factor impeding progress towards paying off those debts. The APR Negotiations Associate will serve as a first point of contact for our members who are prioritizing lower APR rates as a key step in their journey towards improved financial health and will work to  lower APR rates for our members helping to decrease debt, and prevent default. The successful candidate will be adept at working directly with providers to successfully navigate and negotiate complex financial situations on behalf of Truebill members. 

ABOUT THE ROLE ?‍♀️

  • You will interact with our members via phone and intercom to assist in onboarding them to the Truebill features and affiliate programs in order to maximize platform benefits 
  • You will help negotiate lower APR rates for Truebill members directly with providers and/or guide members through the exploration of other potentially available debt reduction options while working in conjunction with our affiliate partners 
  • You will own, develop and grow the APR team
  • You will collaborate with our Affiliate & Partnership teams to ensure that our members are getting the best experiences and offers available from our partners
  • You will identify and execute on opportunities for our members to enhance their experience with Truebill through additional feature and product fit 
  • You will craft basic financial reference articles for our members and support team 
  • You will serve as a trusted expert advisor to the APR team, Director of Negotiations and Truebill members. 

ABOUT YOU ?

  • You have a strong ability to connect with both customers and partners and are passionate about providing a seamless, best in class customer experience 
  • You have a background or experience in sales and/or customer service -- bonus points if you have experience with financial product sales. 
  • You possess excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and analytics skills and demonstrate a strong attention to detail 
  • You have mastered the art of diplomacy and are adept at navigating difficult situations with care and patience 
  • You are able to establish and meet deadlines, work independently with limited supervision and  thrive in a fast paced, collegial environment
