This Position reports to:
Sales ManagerYour Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee and manage the end-to-end bid and estimation process for Hydropower projects. Each day, you will work on formulating competitive techno-commercial proposals for Automatic Voltage Regulators, Static Excitation Systems, Generator Control Panels, SCADA, and HMI systems, considering the right product mix and appropriate technical and commercial factors. You will also demonstrate your expertise by coordinating across engineering, procurement, and customer-facing teams to deliver accurate, timely, and well-documented bids.
The work model for the role is: #LI – Onsite.
This role contributes to the Automation division within the Energy Division in the Bangalore-Nelamangala-India Region, specifically for the Excitation business.
Key Responsibilities
Review tender documents, specifications, and prepare techno-commercial bids for Hydropower BOP, SCADA, Excitation System, Synchronizing panels, and Protection systems
Develop technical proposals, compliance statements, deviation lists, and prepare cost estimates with pricing strategy support
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, vendors, and external services (translations, governmental approvals) for inputs and costing
Manage RFI/RFQ preparation with technical, financial, and project management aspects
Participate in pre-bid meetings, customer interactions, post-bid clarifications, and order negotiations
Ensure timely submission of complete bid documentation and maintain Salesforce database updates
Report bid status, analyse reasons for tender wins/losses, and identify potential risks in contracts
Support order finalization and maintain archival of offer/order documentation and decision records
Qualifications for the role
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics / Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 to 15 years of experience in preparing bids / estimations in automatic voltage regulator / static excitation system / generator control and protection panel / synchronization panel / Electrical systems
Knowledge of Hydropower BOP systems and SCADA
Experience in tendering and cost estimation
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Proficient in written and verbal communication in English
