This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.
The work model for the role is # LI - Onsite.
This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India.
Your role and responsibilities
Evaluating, Selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handling testing, installation and commissioning activities. Preparing project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
Supporting the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.)
Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
Completing Power Management System related risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility
Assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables
Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers
Maintaining network of engineering professionals and sharing engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines
Qualifications for the role
B Tech in Electrical and Electronics or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics
Minimum 4 to 8 years of Experience in Power Management System (PMS) proposals (PMS/ECMS/E-SCADA) for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemicals, Power and water etc. based on customer specification / customer requirement to achieve both market competitiveness and winning orders for the company.
Experience in Substation Automation System or Power Management System (PMS) engineering and commissioning.
Prior experience of providing Digital Solutions - Power Management System (PMS), Electrical & Process Simulation,
Asset Performance Management (APM)- which includes Condition Monitoring System (CMS), Asset Reliability & Integrity, Predictive & Prescriptive Analysis.
Have good knowledge on IEC61850, GOOSE communication, various PMS functionalities like load shedding, load sharing, circuit breaker control, synchronization & other protocols - Modbus, IEC-101, 104, DNP3.0 etc.
