This Position reports to:
Sales ManagerYour Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee and manage the end-to-end bid and estimation process for Hydropower projects. Each day, you will work on formulating competitive techno-commercial proposals for Automatic Voltage Regulators, Static Excitation Systems, Generator Control Panels, SCADA, and HMI systems, considering the right product mix and appropriate technical and commercial factors. You will also demonstrate your abilities by coordinating across engineering, procurement, and customer-facing teams to deliver accurate, timely, and well-documented bids.
The work model for the role is: #LI – Onsite.
This role contributes to the Automation division within the Energy Division in the Bangalore-Nelamangala-India Region, specifically for the Excitation business. Main stakeholders include project owners, internal engineering and project execution teams, vendors/suppliers, and senior business leadership
Key Responsibilities
Review tender specifications and prepare techno-commercial bids for automation and power system projects.
Develop technical proposals, compliance documents, deviation statements, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, vendors, and stakeholders for bid inputs and pricing.
Manage RFIs/RFQs, customer interactions, pre/post-bid discussions, and contract negotiations.
Ensure timely bid submissions, maintain bid documentation, track outcomes, and support order finalization.
Qualifications for the role
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
3-15 years of experience in bid preparation, tendering, and cost estimation for electrical and automation systems.
Good knowledge of excitation systems, generator control & protection, synchronization panels, and related electrical solutions.
Exposure to Hydropower BOP systems and SCADA.
Effective coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in English and capable of delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
