Job Summary
The Professional Lending Team provides leverage to employees of Private Equity firms and firms with a partnership structure for their equity purchase or fund investment needs. We create a customized loan program with each firm and then work with individual borrowers to extend credit. Our business model is based on capturing as much of the firm and client banking relationship beyond just our product, so providing an exemplary client experience is essential to our success.
The PLG Sales Associate is responsible for introducing the loan program to borrowers and guiding them through the application, underwriting, booking, and servicing stages of the loan. This person will monitor his or her own loan pipeline to ensure communication to clients, firms, and our internal teams is accurate and deadlines are clear, while championing the client experience. This person will work on a team of associates, but each associate will develop his or her own relationships with individual clients and work with the same clients and firms on an ongoing basis. This person should expect to become the go-to person for those firms and clients as loans are booked, drawn on, modified, and new programs and rolled out. The ideal candidate is proactive and a people person, with an interest in Private Equity, sales, and credit analysis. We’re looking to set a new standard for customer service in the banking industry, and this person will be the face of that.
Pay Range: $43,875.00 - $55,940.00 - $68,006.00

Job Responsibilities:
- Communication with clients via email and phone about the loan program, application status, analyst needs, upcoming capital calls, and amortization.
- Sending out applications and vetting them for submission to the analyst team.
- Communicate deadlines and provide updates to relevant internal teams and to firm.
- Resolving capital call and distribution needs.
- Creating and updating loan overviews for clients.
- Monitoring loan pipeline to ensure efficient movement though analyst, credit, booking, banking, and capital call teams.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Communicates and emphasizes deadlines with internal teams on new requests and existing loans.
- Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to Borrower documentation and closing process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: College, Vocational or Associates Degree (2 years or equivalent).
- Minimum experience required: 3+ Years in a client facing role.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple deadlines, and communicating across teams.
- Must be comfortable talking to clients and have impeccable email etiquette.
- No specific certifications or technical expertise required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business or finance.
- Preferred 3+ years in finance, sales, or legal role.
- Ideal candidate will have an understanding of private equity fund finance basics, including capital calls, distributions, fair market value, and applicable taxes; as well as basic loan mechanics including interest rates, credit types, loan to value ratio, debt to income ratio, advance rate, and amortization.
Job Competencies:
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment balancing individual responsibilities with bigger picture goals.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, V-lookup, functions, and formulas.
- Comfortable reviewing financial transactions.
- Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, email, and in person.
- Advanced familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
- No travel requirements.
- Physical demands (ADA): The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.
