TEGNA Florida, home to NBC affiliate WTLV and ABC affiliate WJXX in Jacksonville, FL, as well as CBS affiliate WTSP in Tampa, FL, has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic, fast-paced team.
Job Overview
This supervisory role will oversee a group of Account Managers. You will work the team leading efforts in developing and optimizing sales operations systems and workflow for the sales organization across digital and linear platforms to better serve our customers. You will use process, technology and AI to create the most efficient and effective systems. As we build out the sales team of the future, you will seek to learn why we do things operationally the way we do currently and challenge for alternatives that will improve workflow.
This position reports to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage team of Account Managers ensuring accurate fulfillment of digital and linear orders and all operational processes across Florida.
• Provide training and support for Account Managers on operational responsibilities for the role of Account Managers so each is able to complete job duties aligned with their role.
• Oversee execution of workflows to achieve operational excellence thus helping team with client satisfaction and retention.
• Onboard and train any new Account Managers and operational team members.
• Consistently evaluate current workflows and processes seeking ways to maximize all resources and ensure optimal use to Account Managers’ time
• Make recommendations to senior leadership on new, more efficient operational processes, including AI driven ideas for improvement.
• Be an expert in industry related software for all sales operations, including Wide Orbit, CRM, Wide Orbit Analytics, etc.
• Ability to learn new software systems quickly and then train the team on how to effectively use them.
• Review hygiene reports consistently to ensure all orders follow company policy and oversee that any errors are corrected in a timely manner.
• Provide backup when needed for any operational support during peak demand periods or during open positions.
• Assist Director of Sales, Director of Digital Sales, and Sales Managers with any operational needs as the business evolves.
Requirements:
• Minimum of three (3) years successful in a sales operational supervisory role within digital media, streaming, and broadcast television.
• Extensive knowledge of digital advertising, including programmatic buying, OTT/CTV, social media, audience targeting, and attribution models.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 30% of time between Jacksonville and Tampa, including overnight stays, as necessary.
• Capability to foster a collaborative environment, encouraging teamwork and cross-departmental partnerships with the Florida stations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to lead and inspire team as well as work alongside Account Executives and Sales Managers with client partners.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced, and able to work with multiple priorities across the team.
