The Role
Build and lead the company’s sales function from the ground up. Responsibilities include hiring and scaling a 20+ person call center or inside-sales team, creating sales processes and playbooks, implementing CRM and lead-management systems, developing lead scoring and routing, designing incentive plans, establishing reporting and KPIs, improving follow-up and conversion performance, and partnering with marketing and operations to maintain a healthy pipeline.

Overview
We're hiring a Director of Sales to build a real sales program, because right now, we don't have one. No formal sales structure. No lead management system. No routing logic. No CRM discipline. No established commission model. No reporting cadence. No proven playbooks. We generate hundreds of thousands of inbound leads every year, and we honestly don't have a reliable way to work them. If you're looking to "optimize" an already-functioning sales machine, this is not that job. You'll be the person who creates the entire system from the ground up. You'll build and scale a call center sales team, define the culture, write the playbooks, implement the tools, and enforce the standards. You'll decide how leads are scored, segmented, handed out, and followed up on, because none of that exists today. You'll put structure and accountability around a giant pile of opportunity that's currently underutilized. This role is for someone who's built sales engines before and knows exactly how messy the early stages are. Someone who thrives in building, growing, and, fixing the actual problems, and can turn high-volume inbound activity into predictable revenue. If you want a blank canvas, massive lead flow, and full ownership of the sales function, welcome to Corporate Tools. This is a M-F, full-time salaried position that is considered hybrid, meaning some remote work is possible. You'll onboard and train in person, for at least the first 90 days, in the West Jordan office and continue working in our office at least 2-3 days a week.
Wage
Up to $250,000 / year (*up to) including incentive program
Benefits

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental & vision Full coverage for employees - nothing comes out of your paycheck. Plus an annual review with a raise option.

  • Time off that grows with you 22 days PTO + 4 holidays to start. After 3 years it bumps to 29 days, and after 5 years you move to flexible time off - not accrued, not capped. Take time off when you want.

  • Parental leave & 401(k) match Paid parental leave, plus up to 6% company 401(k) matching with no vesting period - it's yours from day one.

  • Quarterly allowance Spend it on whatever makes work better: a comfier remote setup, continuing-education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for a coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever.

  • No dumb perks (and a trail mix bar) No weekend dog-walking gimmicks that look cool but cost nothing because nobody uses them. We spend on benefits you'll actually use - an open-concept office, friendly coworkers, a creative environment, and yeah... a trail mix bar.

Responsibilities
  • Sales
  • Build a sales team from the ground up and set the tone for how it runs.
  • Create a real sales process and the reporting that goes with it, because we don't have one.
  • Make sense of millions of leads by building a simple, effective way to grade and distribute them.
  • Put together commission and incentive plans that actually motivate people.
  • Use real conversion data to tighten up speed-to-lead, follow-up, and overall performance.
  • Work with marketing and operations to clean up lead flow and keep the pipeline healthy.
  • Build a culture where people show up, work hard, and get better every week.
  • Own the KPIs and bring the discipline we're currently missing.

Requirements
  • 7+ years running sales teams in a call center or inside-sales world.
  • You've built and scaled a team of 20+ reps before, not just inherited one.
  • You actually know how to set up and run lead management and CRM systems.
  • You understand lead quality and how to squeeze real results out of different lead sources.
  • You've built compensation and incentive plans that people care about and chase.
  • You know how to coach people, push them, and keep a team moving.
  • You're competitive and can create energy and momentum without being asked.

Why Work Here
If you get a weird amount of joy out of walking into a high velocity environment and turning it into something functional, you're going to love this job. We have an absurd number of inbound leads and absolutely no real sales system to handle them. It's like being handed a gold mine and a spoon and told, "Go build something." If that sentence makes you grin instead of panic, you're probably our person. You get to build the team, the process, the culture, and basically the whole sales universe from scratch... with nobody hovering over your shoulder slowing you down.
This role is perfect for someone who likes solving problems, fixing broken things, and proving that a little organization can turn a mountain of opportunity into real revenue. You'll have autonomy, leadership support, and a front-row seat to seeing your work actually move needles. If you want to build something real, have a little fun doing it, and tell future coworkers, "You have no idea what this place used to be," you'll probably thrive here.

Skills Required

  • 7+ years running sales teams in a call center or inside-sales environment
  • Experience building and scaling a team of 20 or more sales representatives
  • Experience setting up and operating lead-management and CRM systems
  • Understanding of lead quality and performance across different lead sources
  • Experience creating compensation and incentive plans
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and manage sales teams
  • Ability to create energy, momentum, and accountability in a competitive sales environment

What We Do

Corporate Tools is proudly, stubbornly independent. No outside investors calling the shots. It’s just us choosing customers over profits, every time. We build the behind-the-scenes tools that keep businesses running: software, LLC filings, registered agent service, website and domain registration, address services… basically all the unglamorous stuff that makes companies actually work. We’ve grown into one of the largest B2B providers in the U.S. by sticking to a simple mission: solve the real, messy, confusing problems of starting and running a business, while keeping your privacy intact and making your life a whole lot easier.

Why Work With Us

We’re privately held, debt free, and focused on people. Not investors. That means we can keep hiring folks we like, building tools that actually work, and making sure our customers are taken care of. If you want to know more about what values drive us, check out our Company Principles.
