KDVR FOX31 and KWGN Colorado’s CW2 are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to join our Denver sales organization.
The Sales Assistant plays an important role in supporting our local, national and digital sales efforts across broadcast television, streaming and digital platforms. This position works closely with Account Executives, Sales Managers, Sales Support, Traffic, Finance and other departments to ensure advertising campaigns are entered accurately, executed efficiently and supported with a high level of customer service.
This position reports to the Sales Support Supervisor and Operations Lead and is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in media, advertising, sales operations or digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and maintain broadcast, streaming and digital advertising orders, revisions and related information within station systems.
- Review orders for accuracy and ensure details align with client agreements, station policies, pricing and inventory guidelines.
- Coordinate commercial copy, traffic instructions and creative materials to help ensure campaigns launch and air as scheduled.
- Work with Account Executives, Traffic, Digital Operations and other departments to identify and resolve order, scheduling, billing and account issues.
- Assist with campaign maintenance, revisions, makegoods and other post-sale support.
- Monitor inventory, order status, missing materials and other deadlines and proactively communicate items requiring attention.
- Support digital advertising campaigns by assisting with order entry, campaign documentation, creative coordination and reporting as needed.
- Maintain current programming, sales materials, proposal information and other resources used by the sales organization.
- Assist with political advertising documentation and FCC Public File requirements in accordance with established station procedures.
- Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, forms and other sales materials.
- Maintain accurate client, agency and account records within station systems.
- Cross check copy/traffic instructions.
- Communicate professionally with clients, agencies and internal departments to answer questions and help resolve issues.
- Participate in sales and operational meetings, document action items and assist with follow-up as needed.
- Provide administrative and project support to Sales Managers, Account Executives and Sales Support leadership.
- Assist with special projects, sponsorship initiatives, sales promotions and major station revenue initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field preferred.
- Previous administrative, sales support, customer service or coordinator experience preferred. Experience in media, advertising, digital marketing or sales operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and responsive approach when working with clients, agencies and coworkers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfort learning new technology, software platforms and workflow systems.
- Strong data-entry and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
Compensation Range: $22 - $24 per hour
