MSP Sales Account Executive

We are looking for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) Sales Account Executive who plays a critical rolein driving the business growth of an MSP by identifying, developing, and managing client relationships.Their responsibilities and qualifications are designed to ensure they can effectively communicate the valueof the MSP's services to potential and existing clients, ultimately securing sales and fostering long-termpartnerships.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, serving as a primary point of contact.Understand their business goals, challenges, and IT needs to offer tailored MSP solutions.
• Develop account plans outlining strategies for account growth, expansion, and retention.Collaborate with clients to align MSP services with their evolving business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to upsell additional services or cross-sell complementary solutions to existingclients. Provide insights on how these offerings can further benefit their business.
• Meet and exceed sales targets by effectively positioning MSP services as essential to clients.Develop a deep understanding of client environments to propose value-driven solutions.
• Work closely with technical teams to translate client needs into actionable plans.
Ensure seamless communication between sales and technical teams for successful service delivery.
• Manage contract renewals by proactively engaging with clients well in advance.
Negotiate terms, address concerns, and secure contract extensions.
• Address client concerns promptly and effectively, collaborating with internal teams to find solutions.Maintain a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the MSP landscape.
Use this knowledge to anticipate client needs and provide proactive recommendations.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, reporting on account activities, opportunities, and challenges.
Keep management informed on account health and potential risks.
• Stay updated on the MSP's service offerings and technical capabilities.
Provide training to clients on new features, services, and best practices to maximize their value.
• Encourage satisfied clients to become advocates, participating in case studies, testimonials, or referrals.Leverage positive client relationships to enhance the company's reputation.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and sales activities using CRM tools.
Ensure data integrity for effective reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, orrelated fields.
• Previous experience in sales, particularly in the IT or managed services industry, is highly beneficial.This experience helps in understanding customer needs and the technical aspects of the services offered.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating with clients andunderstandably explaining complex services.
• While not always required to be highly technical, a good understanding of IT services, cloud computing,cybersecurity, and other relevant technologies is important.
• Ability to identify client needs and propose solutions that meet these needs, demonstrating how theMSP's services can solve their problems.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage sales pipelines, client meetings, and follow-upactivities effectively.
• While not always required, certifications related to sales methodologies or the specific technologies andservices offered by the MSP can be advantageous.
