Better begins here

Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating fun, memorable, world-class experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

The Role

At Crown Resorts, we're continuing to strengthen our risk and compliance culture across the business through the implementation of our Risk & Compliance Champion Program.

As part of this uplift, we are seeking a highly engaging and influential Risk & Compliance Champion Lead to take ownership of this enterprise-wide initiative and help embed a strong first line risk culture across the organisation.

This newly created role offers the unique opportunity to shape, influence and continue building a high-profile program that is already gaining momentum across the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, you will act as the primary point of contact for Risk & Compliance Champions across Crown Melbourne. You will work closely with business leaders and risk and compliance teams to ensure the successful rollout, adoption and ongoing effectiveness of the R&CC Program.

This is not a traditional compliance or assurance role.

Instead, you will act as a facilitator, coach and trusted advisor, helping business leaders and Risk & Compliance Champions navigate their risk and compliance responsibilities with confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing embedment of the Risk & Compliance Champion Program

  • Leading and facilitating regular Champion forums, workshops and engagement sessions

  • Providing guidance, coaching and practical support to Risk & Compliance Champions across multiple business units

  • Delivering training, awareness initiatives and capability uplift activities

  • Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and second-line risk and compliance functions

  • Monitoring program effectiveness, reporting against key success measures, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Promoting best-practice risk and compliance management principles across the organisation

  • Supporting users to understand and effectively utilise Archer and other governance, risk and compliance systems

  • Driving participation, accountability and the timely completion of key risk and compliance activities

About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys influencing outcomes through collaboration.

You may come from risk, compliance, governance, operational risk, management assurance or a similar environment, but most importantly you'll bring the ability to engage people, build trust and uplift capability.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise-wide risk, compliance, governance or capability programs

  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with experience leading workshops, forums and training sessions

  • Experience developing and delivering risk and compliance frameworks, training programs and supporting materials

  • Exposure to Governance, Risk & Compliance systems, ideally Archer

  • The ability to work collaboratively across diverse business functions and varying levels of seniority

  • A degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Commerce, Law or a related field.

On top of exciting career possibilities, we offer better exposure to experiences and learning. To see our range of benefits and opportunities visit Crown Resorts Careers.

Our Crown Community celebrates uniqueness and embraces diversity. We welcome the creativity, insights and experiences from people of different race, age, religion, cultural background, gender, people with disability, people who identify as LGBTIQ+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; people like you.

Skills Required

  • Experience leading or supporting enterprise-wide risk, compliance, governance, or capability programs
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, including experience leading workshops, forums, and training sessions
  • Experience developing and delivering risk and compliance frameworks, training programs, and supporting materials
