Job Description

Position Location: Daytona Beach, FLHybrid work schedule may be offered upon completion of training.

QXO is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to support the day-to-day administration and coordination of our Property/Casualty Insurance Programs. In this role, you will partner closely with Risk Managers, third-party administrators, branch teams, legal partners, adjusters, and operational leaders to support claims management, reporting, risk analysis, and loss prevention efforts across the business. 

What You’ll Do 

Claims Management & Risk Support 

  • Assist Risk Managers with the day-to-day management of property/casualty claims, including workers’ compensation. 

  • Partner with third-party administrators to support action plans, appropriate reserve levels, settlement activity, and claim updates. 

  • Evaluate claim costs, identify potential risks, and support loss control measures to help reduce liability and mitigate exposure. 

  • Support compliance with insurance procedures and promote loss prevention across the organization. 

Communication, Reporting & Analysis 

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute reports as directed by management, including ad hoc reporting. 

  • Collect and summarize claims and risk data, identify trends, and recommend next steps. 

  • Compile reports required by company leadership, regulatory agencies, and inside/outside counsel. 

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners while acting with a strong sense of fiduciary responsibility. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Serve as a liaison between third-party administrators, branch personnel, Risk Managers, legal partners, independent adjusters, independent experts, executive leadership, and operational management. 

  • Assist Branch Managers with claim reporting, investigation, and resolution. 

  • Support Risk Managers in communicating claim status updates and coordinating action plans with third-party administrators and defense attorneys. 

  • Organize and participate in claims reviews to ensure timely follow-up and alignment. 

Contracts & Insurance Program Support 

  • Support the Contracts Management Group by ordering Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for projects in accordance with contract requirements. 

  • Assist with annual COI renewals and enrollment into Controlled Insurance Programs, including wrap-ups. 

  • Review Controlled Insurance Program manuals and related documents for specified coverage language. 

  • Build effective relationships with field operations, customers, and external vendors. 

What We’re Looking For 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Insurance, or a related field. 

Preferred Certifications or Licensing: 

  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM) 

  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM) 

  • Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) 

  • Adjuster License 

  • Insurance License 

Experience: 

  • 2–5 years of experience in insurance, underwriting, risk management, or claims management. 

  • Experience with general liability, auto liability, property claims, and workers’ compensation claims. 

  • Risk management and claims handling experience in a publicly traded organization preferred. 

  • Experience with construction defect, additional insured tenders, and reserve analysis preferred. 

  • Proficiency in adjusting claims and supporting claims resolution activities. 

Additional Requirement: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.

Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.

Compensation Range:

$53,700.00 - $80,500.00
