Join Maxis as a Reporting Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise reporting, data transformation, and analytics initiatives. This role offers exposure to real-world data workflows, cloud platforms, and dashboard development, while working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver meaningful business insights in a fast-paced environment.

1. Business Reporting & Requirements Gathering

• Partner with Business Analysts to gather and define reporting requirements from business users.

• Translate business needs into clear reporting and data specifications.

• Support validation of data and alignment with business expectations.

2. Data Transformation & Preparation

• Design, develop, and optimise data transformations using SQL and Python.

• Support data cleansing, modelling, and preparation for analytics and reporting.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting pipelines.

3. Data Ingestion, Dashboards & Visualisation

• Perform data ingestion into Microsoft Fabric.

• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and visualisations to support business decision-making.

• Assist in improving existing reports for usability, performance, and clarity.

4. Incident Management & Operational Support

• Proactively monitor reporting pipelines and data processes.

• Support incident management, including issue tracking and timely status updates to stakeholders.

• Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimise reporting disruptions.

5. Workflow Automation & Cloud Enablement

• Support the streamlining and automation of data workflows.

• Assist with data and reporting processes within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of reporting solutions.

The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to Cloud FinOps optimisation initiatives, supporting projects focused on improving cloud cost efficiency, optimising resource usage, and enhancing visibility into cloud-based reporting and data operations.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong skills in SQL and Python.

• Basic understanding of data analytics, reporting workflows, and dashboards.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or cloud platforms (GCP) is an advantage.

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Good communication skills and willingness to engage with business stakeholders.

• Gain practical experience in enterprise reporting and data analytics.

• Work with modern data platforms and real business datasets.

• Learn how data supports decision-making and operational efficiency.

Internship Duration: Starting March, up to 6 months
