Provide vision and leadership for strategic projects and implement continuous improvements within the Quality Assurance and in the Quality Management System. This responsibility will include achieving the organizational goals regarding quality, quality compliance, and development of quality metrics and tools.

Essential functions

  • As part of the Regional Team, contribute to the development of the operations strategy, quality related part of it in particular.
  • Make a leading contribution to the implementation of the operations strategy in a manner that is consistent with the quality aims and values of the organization.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reviews for management to decide on further improvement activities.
  • Maintain and develop the quality system in order to harmonize the processes among region operations.
  • Develop, implement and improve quality systems to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop, implement and assure compliance to construction and general standard’s requirements across all operations plants.
  • Assure continuous certification to ISO 9001 and construction business related standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all product quality systems in all plants.
  • Conduct training on product quality and safety policies, systems and procedures.
  • Conduct system and process audits to assure product safety and quality.
  • Support each operations site to maintain consistent compliance with specifications, and product quality and safety requirements.
  • Show consistent and clear leadership and management which seeks to inspire employees in the achievement of quality objectives.
  • Play a key role in organizational culture and style in which employees are empowered and valued.
  • Ensure the effective management of team members in accordance with quality policies and procedures.
  • Develop the skills and knowledge of quality team members, maintain good working relationships and excellent communications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, quickly resolving product quality issues, and ensuring technical support.
  • Act as the liaison for third party and customer audits to assure compliance to requirements and resolution of all identified non-conformances.
  • Lead customer satisfaction improvement initiatives. Facilitate complaint reduction activities. Coordinate resolution of internal customer issues.
  • Coordinate with Commercial, Product Development and Engineering regarding new business and product trials.
  • Develop and drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain department in supplier’s approval process and its development.
  • Work closely with the HR to establish and maintain appropriate competence and Quality standards within the organization.
  • Design and implement a quality culture change programme which promotes engagement and acceptance of responsibility at all levels in the business.
  • Ensure all deviations are investigated, recorded and reported, identifying and recommending improved practices to reduce risk.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and experience

  • Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Process engineering or related.
  • Quality standard’s auditor certificates.
  • Quality related trainings.
  • Extensive experience in Quality plant operations (QA and QMS).
  • Familiar with variety of metals manufacturing concepts.

Competencies 

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluency in using Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, PPAP etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in using statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to develop credible relationships with suppliers and customers.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel to sites up to 50%.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, laptop use, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
