Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and manage Findhelp strategy for strengthening relationships with elected officials and government agencies and increasing their understanding of and support for Findhelp’s mission and work. Our goal is to create universal brand recognition with every agency whose mission we can support.
- Establish and manage market development strategy and plan that includes outreach to government agencies in states. This includes creating business development opportunities as well as developing and executing pre-capture strategies in states in which we expect opportunities to develop.
- Identify priority legislative, government relations and business opportunities.
- Function as point of contact for state legislators, executive branch decision-makers, local elected/appointed officials, and other key decision makers.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key decision makers across Findhelp to ensure alignment with business priorities, market opportunities and challenges.
- Assist with hiring and supervising of contract lobbyists and consultants ensuring contract deliverables are being met.
Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of diversified government, government relations leadership, planning, communication, and organization experience.
- Experience working with senior executives, government affairs directors, and policymakers.
- An entrepreneurial orientation and a commitment to grow the overall organization.
- Technology industry, health care policy experience, operational legislative or government service-related experience are a plus.
- Able to thrive in ambiguity.
- Decisive, take chances, and push through when others are ambivalent or hesitant.
- You collaborate with others to define the answers, instead of waiting for answers to give you the details.
- Understand the interplay between politics and policy.
- The proven ability to work across party and ideological boundaries
- Can relate well to state agency officials, their priorities and how Findhelp’s technology can benefit their use case.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Government, Public Policy preferred.
