Position Summary
The Online Campus Ministry Assistant provides administrative, technical, and operational support for Redemption Online. This role helps ensure weekend services, online ministry events, volunteer communications, and ongoing ministry operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment.
This is a part-time remote position requiring approximately 19 hours per week, including weekend availability to support live online services and occasional ministry events.
Scope of Responsibilities
The responsibilities below represent the primary areas of support for this role and are intended to illustrate the types of work the Online Campus Ministry Assistant will perform. Priorities may vary from week to week based on ministry needs, events, and seasonal initiatives. While the role will regularly support many of these functions, no candidate is expected to complete every task listed each week. Responsibilities may evolve over time and may include other duties as assigned.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Weekend Service Support
Assist with live online services as assigned (typically two services each weekend).
Monitor and support technical processes during services.
Help troubleshoot basic technical issues and communicate with ministry staff as needed.
Update and maintain weekly service resources, including Gameplan and CHOP (website streaming platform).
Ministry Operations
Coordinate volunteer schedules and assist with scheduling logistics.
Maintain organized ministry databases, spreadsheets, and records.
Collect, organize, and report ministry metrics and data.
Assist with mass communications, email campaigns, and ministry announcements.
Support recurring ministry initiatives and special projects.
Event & Course Support
Provide technical and administrative support for online events, including Healing the Heart (Sunday evenings during 2 semesters/year) and other Zoom-based ministry experiences.
Assist with participant communication, registration management, attendance tracking, and follow-up.
Communications
Assist with preparation and distribution of the monthly newsletter.
Help create, proofread, and schedule ministry communications.
Keep internal documents, forms, and ministry resources current and organized.

Qualifications
Required
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new software and online platforms.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Reliable internet connection and dedicated home workspace.
Availability to work weekends, including scheduled online services.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Asana or similar project management software.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Experience organizing, maintaining, and reporting data using spreadsheets.
Familiarity with Zoom and virtual event support.
Experience with church management systems, volunteer scheduling software, or online ministry platforms is a plus.
