Position Purpose:

Assists the recruiting area in meeting IS staffing needs. Promotes the company as an employer of choice by attending university campus recruiting events, job fairs, job information sessions, and interview days. Assists managers with temp to perm and contractor conversions.

What You Will Do:

  • Sources, identifies, and screens candidates for primarily non-exempt and entry-level technical positions. Conducts pre-screen interviews with candidates using a provided script. Manages candidate communications to include paperwork, scheduling interviews, testing, travel, and background checks. Ensures candidates selected for interview and/or hire move through the system appropriately.
  • Participates in community outreach by attending job fairs and university campus recruiting events. Assists in the development of recruiting materials, including brochures, recruiting displays, and giveaway items. Assists with other recruiting support activities as assigned.
  • Assists management with the conversion of temporary and contract workers to a permanent employment status by completing necessary paperwork and ordering background checks.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's
  • or 4 years job related work experience
  • or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience


Required Experience:

  • 2 years full life cycle recruiting experience.


Required Skill and Abilities:

Ability to source for technical positions and an understanding of technical terms and programming languages.

Ability to perform sourcing of passive candidates by using creative forms of online search (Boolean, social networking, LinkedIn, etc.).

Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.

Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

Current knowledge of applicable federal/state laws relating to employment (Title VII, ADA, Good judgment skills.

Strategic planning skills.

Analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. EEO).

Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.

We Prefer That You Have:

  • Technical recruiting experience
  • Strong sourcing on technical and non-technical job boards
  • Experience with Workday
  • Prior BCBS experience
