We are looking for a new Range & Engineering Manager who will join our amazing team!
You will be responsible to secure planning, prioritization and execution of development projects or production concepts from an engineering, quality, sustainability, and material perspective with focus on polymers and metal.
You will also be accountable for related projects from engineering point of view within the IKEA Components range, and that these are delivered with precision connected to scope, specification, quality, time, product cost and project cost.
You will be responsible to lead and secure a high-level engineering development with the aim of efficient usage of resources and significantly increasing the customer experiences in connection to Democratic Design. Responsible for the totality of the succession planning, recruitment & optimize usage of resources within the team and to lead and develop people, create togetherness, and inspire and clarify, always in line with the IKEA values.
To be successful in this role we see that you have leadership experience from strategic/tactical development and international business. You have the capability to build strong lasting relations with internal and external partners. You are passionate about creating the best sustainable product solutions at the right price, quality and good function.
Furthermore, we see that you have proven knowledge and experience in:
- Good business and product/component development knowledge
- Deep knowledge in material and technical development
- Deep knowledge within different production techniques
- Deep quality and sustainability knowledge on a tactical level
- Knowledge and understanding of the IKEA Value Chain (or similar), the development process, and the prerequisites of the Supply and Retail organizations
- Knowledge, experience and feeling for home furnishings; customer needs, design, style and trends
