About this opportunity:
The Co-op Student position in CX TS (Customer Experience Technical Support) Team is a unique opportunity to join a diverse and experienced group of fellows Co-ops to take part in innovation and improvement projects helping the internal workings of a multinational networking and communications company. These projects can span many departments and will give you exposure to new technologies and methods of working. You will support and learn alongside senior engineers and developers who are experts in their respective fields to accomplish your goals and create continous improvements for the company.
What you will do:
- Take part in 12 to 16-month Co-op working term with 8 hour work days/40 hours per week.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of automation scripts to streamline operations.
- Participate in AI/ML-driven use cases, including the automation of processes using AI agents and LLMs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Help in maintaining clear documentation and reporting of activities and results.
- Meet with task stakeholders and define plans of analyzing and resolving ongoing problems.
- Research and present prospective solutions for task at hand.
- Learn and apply SW troubleshooting methodologies across RAN (Radio Access Network), end-to-end.
- Collaborate with a skilled and supportive team and help in investigations and analyses of customer issues.
- Perform fault reproduction and handle configurations in Ericsson's environment, gaining an understanding of RAN SW architecture and its connection to 3GPP standards.
- Work in a team of several Co-ops to support and learn from one another.• Studying towards Computer Science, Machine Learning, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering,
- Software Engineering, or related field, at a Canadian University
The skills you bring:
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, with familarity in libraries such as NumPy, pandas, and SciPy.
- Machine Learning: Familiarity with frameworks including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
- Data Visualization: Knowledge with tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly.
- AI and LLM: Knowledge and experience in using LLM APIs, understanding of LLM-agents and AI agentic frameworks and RAG.
- Operating Systems: Linux knowledge and bash scripting skills.
- Knowledge (courses) related to Telecommunications, Radio Access Networks, IP, Networking, Cloud Infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting mindset.
