This position reports to:
R&D Team Lead__
Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be part of the R&D center IT, responsible for several electronic low voltage measurement devices (meters, network analyzer) and for low voltage protection devices and components (RCCB, RCBO, MCB, AFDD, motor reclosing).
You will be part of Product Care unit, managing the maintenance and the improvement/optimization of products in production (mainly in our factory in Santa Palomba - Rome, but not only), inside a global and international environment.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Participate as R&D member into cross-functional improvement team focused on specific electric/electronic products, managing different maintenance topic (e.g. maintain product robustness, component shortage, cost reduction).
Propose and discuss product change activities, working in cross-functional teams with mechanical, electrical, electronic (hardware and firmware) designers, with special focus on prototyping and validation of the solution, together with Laboratory and Quality.
Evaluate requests from Production, Quality and Engineering departments and propose product modifications accordingly.
Prepare technical reports supported by design calculations, simulations and test lab, using standard and non-standard tools.
Coordinate prototypes construction to ensure alignment with project/task timeline; plan and analyze experimental tests to verify technical solutions. Work within the project team, opting for time and cost-effective solutions.
Maintain Bills of Materials of products (SAP/WindChill).
Coordinate tasks assigned to external suppliers, ensuring clear specifications and timeline.
Qualifications for the Role
Master’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
Previous experience (2-3 years at least) in design and maintenance of electronic devices is a plus.
Good level of Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Result orientation and personal ownership of tasks, good communication skills to handle different perspectives and achieve buy-in.
Knowledge of task management tools such as DevOps and/or Jira. Ability to work in SAP and/or Windchill environment for what related to BOM.
Good level of technical competencies in laboratory environment.
Knowledge of Altium, knowledge of statistical analysis tool (such as Minitab), Knowledge of communication protocol such as: WiFi, Modbus, Mbus wired and wireless.
Experience in lean sigma approach.
Availability to travel for about 20% of the time in Italy or abroad (mainly European territory).
