Your role and responsibilities
You will be part of the R&D center IT, working on several electromechanical and electronic low voltage protection devices (RCCB, RCBO, MCB, AFDD, motor reclosing, …) and measurement devices (meters, network analyzer, …).
You will be part of the design team, supporting and contributing to the development of new products, inside a global and international environment.
The work model for the role is: onsite
In particular, you will:
Work on new design for current sensors and electromechanical actuators, starting from state of the art and knowledge of magnetic materials and basic electronics.
Prepare design calculations using standard and non-standard calculation tools.
Define (and in some cases execute) the dedicated test plan to validate the technical assumptions.
Participate to new product development projects focused on specific electric problems (e.g. short circuit current limitation, residual current configurations definition, ...).
Follow up prototypes construction; plan and analyze experimental tests in order to verify technical solutions; adjust design as required based on test results, to arrive to the final solution.
Support operation functions during production process implementation of new products or modifications to existing ones.
Propose appropriate list of materials necessary for design, providing and maintaining Bills of Materials of products.
Support mechanical parts and assemblies design, in collaboration with the design team and in accordance with specifications and products standards.
Collaborate with internal and external resources, inside national and international working team.
Qualifications for the role
Education: a Master Degree in Electrical Engineer or Physics.
Strong electrotechnical and electromagnetic background. Basic knowledge of statistical analysis.
Technical skills: proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, knowledge of the main PC tools (MS office).
Languages: ability to communicate fluently in both Italian and English.
Knowledge of FEM electromagnetic simulators (Ansys Maxwell) is a plus.
Knowledge of CAD tool (Catia, Creo, …) is a plus.
Previous experience in design of electromechanical devices is a plus.
Soft Skills: we are looking for a proactive, curious and motivated person, with good communication skills and teamwork oriented.
