Your Role and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.

This role is contributing to the Medium Voltage Switchgear business line within Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in Italy. Main stakeholders are Technology Management, Prototype workshop, Testing Laboratory, Product Management, Product Marketing, Factory Operations and Quality departments.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Working as a reliable contributor in R&D projects for portfolio development, enhancement or maintenance.
Using technical know-how in your own area of competence to answer customer needs, solve problems and propose new ideas.
Validating technical solutions with calculations, simulations and tests.
Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or test results), allowing others to maintain and improve them.
Collaborating with several stakeholders inside and outside R&D community for reaching assigned targets (scope, quality, time and costs) and raising and addressing risks.
Providing consulting services to business operations and customers
Qualifications for the Role
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or Technical High School diploma
Experience in the electromechanical industry, preferably working as engineer/designer of medium voltage products, is a plus
You are qualified in operating with CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PLM (preferably Windchill) software and preferably having capabilities in reading 2D technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
You are at ease communicating in Italian and English languages, both written and spoken.
You enjoy working in designing, prototyping and testing mechanical and/or electrical components;
You are passionate about analyzing issues, creating alternative solutions starting from scratch and validating them with calculations and simulations
Expertise in simulations (mechanical, electrical, elecromechanical) is a plus
