YOU

As a Quality Coordinator you will maintain and implement quality best practices while working with your assigned Department to implement best practices.Your goals will include reducing Defects and Increasing Efficiencies in the various Processes You Improve. You will also support the assigned Department through Rapid Improvement Events, Root Cause Analysis, Gap Analysis and other Problem Solving methods that drive Action based on Data and Data Analysis.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support continuous process improvement by identifying gaps, auditing department processes, documenting findings, and partnering with Operations and Quality leadership to implement actions that improve efficiency, consistency, and overall quality performance. (35%)
  • Establish priorities and ensure effective use of assigned resources. Use data analysis to identify department priorities, schedule problem-solving projects, and support action plans based on quality performance trends. (15%)
  • Lead analysis and reporting activities by managing customer complaints and internal product NCRs, performing root cause analysis on recurring issues, developing and presenting quality performance metrics, and recommending improvements based on identified trends. (15%)
  • Assist in maintaining the overall health and effectiveness of the Quality Management System by supporting document control, quality records, system updates, and follow-up on quality system activities. (15%)
  • Interpret and support quality policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with documented quality standards, corporate objectives, ISO requirements, and external audit expectations. Develop and maintain QA programs that support the enterprise quality system and branch quality objectives. (10%)
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager, Operations Director, and Branch Manager. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • BS in Business, Management, Engineering or related field, preferred
  • ISO 9001 Certified/Trained Auditor, preferred
  • 3 years’ experience as a Quality Assistant or similar role in a fast-paced manufacturing and/or lab environment, required
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, preferred
  • Data Analysis. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, proportions, and percentages.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy of information. Ability to identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
  • Self-Management: Requires ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules. Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and respect the privacy of others. Ability to fulfill all commitments made to peers, co-workers, and Manager. Ability to hold self and others accountable for measurable, high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  •  Prioritization: Requires ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities upon direction. Ability to set well-defined and realistic personal goals. Ability to set priorities, goals and timetables to achieve maximum productivity. Ability to be self-directed to solve business issues.
  • Interpersonal skills: Possesses people development and delegation skills. Ability to provide timely guidance and feedback to help staff accomplish a task or solve a problem and help others be more successful.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 5% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt, position is located in Stockton, CA. It is not eligible for remote work.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$30.77 - $49.23 / hour
