What you'll do:

Job Family Definition:

Set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include, Expert level of solving common technical problems, Works independently as well as Lead/guide the team technically, Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action, define test strategies and quality test plans, Understand complicated networking protocols, Review system test plans and automation scripts of the team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead/guide the team technically and Derive test strategies.
  • Understand the Networking protocols or technical concepts thoroughly and Define quality system test plans.
  • Executes testing plans, protocols, and document logs, identify bugs, work with development teams to take to closure.
  • Derive automation test plans from system test plans, Automate tests, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
  • Review Release initiatives, system test plans of the team and Ensure test plans map to all scenarios in the Functional Specs.
  • Identify quality issues and Log bugs with complete reproduction steps, logs and attachments.
  • Review automation scripts and provide suggestions to improve
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with quality assurance guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software quality assurance leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software quality assurance organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and communication, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 6+ years experience in L2/L3 protocols testing and python automation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in testing L2/L3 networking protocols
  • Proficient in Switching and Routing concepts. Knowledge on NIC validation is an added advantage.
  • Should be Excellent in test case development and framework enhancements in python
  • Extensive hands-on experience on networking system testing
  • Should be able to thoroughly understand the new networking concepts and derive Quality system test plans
  • Should be able to guide the team technically
  • Good team player with positive mindset and Ready to take up challenges
  • Should know how to use and implement AI methods to increase the productivity of the team
  • Should bring innovative and always work towards the improvement.
  • Extensive experience with multiple software quality assurance tools and processes.
  • Evaluating forms and processes for software testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC concepts and Releases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively participate in test plan reviews and scripts reviews.
