B. JOB PURPOSES

The Government & Public Affairs Intern will support the Government & Public Affairs Manager and Head of Public Affairs in monitoring policy and regulatory developments, conducting research, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and supporting day-to-day GPA operations across the Mekong Region. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to public policy, government relations, international trade, logistics, and sustainability topics within a global company.


C. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Policy & Market Monitoring

  • Monitor and track relevant policy, regulatory, and market developments in Vietnam and the Mekong Region.
  • Conduct desktop research on topics as required related to logistics, customs, trade facilitation, infrastructure, and sustainability.
  • Prepare summaries, briefing notes, and policy updates.

2. Stakeholder Engagement Support

  • Support the preparation of meeting materials, agendas, background notes, and presentation decks.
  • Support follow-up actions from meetings with government agencies, business associations, chambers of commerce, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and external engagement activities.
  • Support logistics, scheduling, and administrative arrangements for internal and external events.
  • Provide coordination support for GPA projects and initiatives.

3. Administrative Support

  • Support documentation, meeting minutes, and reporting.
  • Support other tasks assigned by the Government & Public Affairs Manager.

D. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Final-year undergraduate student or recent graduate in Law, Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, international trade, logistics, sustainability, or ESG.
  • Previous internship, extracurricular activities, or student leadership experience is a plus.

E. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written skills and communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and reliability
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

The internship duration is 6 months and is a full-time onsite position (40 hours/week) at our Hanoi headquarter: 9th floor - Tower 1, Capital Place, 29 Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam.
