The Project Manager shall be responsible for the successful planning, coordinating and management of cost, schedule and performance of all aspects of complex engineering projects and tasks. Serves as the technical point of contact for the Program Manager and team members on a project or task. Directly contributes to program efforts in several areas, including task cost, schedule, and deliverables status updates. Monitors risks, and develops and presents risk containment strategies to ensure proper performance of tasks necessary for efficient and effective execution of the contract. Utilizes expert communication skills to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
 

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage the cost, schedule, and performance of complex, multi-faceted engineering projects from inception to closeout.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, monitor, and assess project risks; develop and execute robust risk containment strategies to ensure uninterrupted contract performance.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and audit current project management and operational workflows; identify inefficiencies, and design and implement improved, standardized processes to increase delivery velocity and elevate quality.
  • Technical Point of Contact (POC): Serve as the primary technical liaison for the Program Manager, client stakeholders, and internal team members.
  • Senior-Level Briefings: Prepare, facilitate, and present project status reports, technical progress updates, issues, and problem-resolution strategies at senior-level meetings.
  • Project Documentation: Author, review, and edit comprehensive technical documentation. Ensure documentation of project governance, including drafting comprehensive meeting agendas, official meeting notes, and action item tracking.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
    6 years of additional program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with the Federal Government may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
  • US Citizen with active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
    A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 certification in Program Management is required
  • Progressive experience in technical project management, specifically managing complex engineering projects
  • Proven track record of developing comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to effectively decompose project scope, assign technical resources, and track baselines
  • Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in industry-standard work management and scheduling tools, including MS Project, Jira, and Confluence
  • Expert-level experience leading meetings, with strict adherence to professional project administration (producing precise meeting notes, agendas, and deliverables tracking)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects that span infrastructure domains, specifically Networking, End-User services, and Cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)

  • Technical Certifications: Associate or Professional level certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure), Networking (CCNA/CCNP), or IT Service Management (ITIL)
  • Experience utilizing Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project management methodologies to drive engineering sprints

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$109,800 - $241,600
