Programs Manager II
E11B OIG Annual Salary $63,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Days worked will be Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Hours worked may be on-call, extended and/or weekend hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and one year of professional experience,
- OR Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction and supervision the Child Welfare program of the Office of Background Investigations in their assigned duties.
- Manages staff to maintain accurate and timely determinations of criminal history records, through the use of critical thinking skills and an understanding of policy and law.
- Fosters a positive working environment and maintains excellent customer service.
- Works closely with Child Welfare Services staff to maintain a system of quality improvement.
- Supervision of staff completion of background checks for Child Welfare staff placement
- Overseeing the creation of policy, training, and improvement of processes.
- Drafts policies, procedures, publications.
- Reviews proposed legislation for impacts on policy and procedures.
- May act as office legislative liaison.
*Preference may be given to applicants who possess education and/or experience in Child Welfare, Child Care Services or Criminal Justice.
