PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for the overall production output for the assigned shift. The position is also responsible for shift efficiency, Quality Control, Safety, and the overall supervision of the shift’s workforce. Cayman Linen Services operates 365 days a year, therefore a flexible work schedule is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Supervises work performed in the facility areas including receiving, cleaning, and distribution of laundry.
- Supervises schedule adherence, assigns work, and appraises and motivates for performance.
- Assists Production Manager in enforcing policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as per Cayman Linen Services standards.
- Responsible for proper handling of customer linen and valet (dry-clean and pressing) and establishes standards and procedures to ensure quality of work performed.
- Must effectively communicate business expectations to all team members.
- Manages assigned teams by effectively developing, mentoring, and assessing the performance of staff.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment; report any accident, incident, or safety issues to the Production Manager.
- Advises management with hiring and termination procedures, and performance evaluations as needed.
- Provides daily information for weekly operating reports.
- Performs other duties as required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a large unit laundry operation
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, walk for long periods of time
- Able to multitask and have a strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skill with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Scheduling flexibility; able to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
- May be exposed to a noisy, humid and hot environment surrounded. Temperatures will vary depending on how many machines are in operation at any given time.
- Environment contains commercial grade washers and dryers and other various laundry service equipment.
- Frequent standing, bending, walking and lifting required.
- May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary
Incentive Pay available based on group and individual numbers. In 2025, our hourly employees were averaging over US$3.00 per hour of additional pay.
Hourly Wage Range: US$17.00 - US$22.00 per hour
