Let's start with the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Product Owner to join our team at Kaizen Labs & Social. Kaizen Labs & Social is a product vertical built around two core pillars: Innovation and Social.

This role sits within the Social pillar, which focuses on building social and community-driven product experiences across our iGaming platforms. The Social pillar aims to increase user engagement, interaction, and connection through features such as content sharing, following, reactions, and influencer-led experiences.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping and evolving social product capabilities, enhancing existing features, and delivering new experiences that drive meaningful engagement and business impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product vision into clear requirements, validate ideas through experimentation, and continuously optimize based on user behavior and data.

As a Product Owner, you will:

  • Lead one Scrum team as the Product Owner;
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team throughout the product lifecycle;
  • Create requirements in the forms of epics and stories;
  • Manage the backlog and iteration planning process;
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectations for delivering new functionalities;
  • Mitigate impediments impacting the release/sprint goals;
  • Support the team and organization by using Agile/Scrum best practices and values;
  • Partner with product management and business stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI;
  • Explore the market to identify opportunities and represent the voice of the customer to the team;
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and open innovation, leveraging external partnerships with agencies, universities, and startups to explore new opportunities. 

What you'll bring:

  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Project Manager in a technological environment;
  • Proven ability to define a set of requirements that address business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to solve them;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams;
  • Familiarity with online sports betting and casino products is an asset;
  • A good understanding of technology, programming languages, and software architecture is considered a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and market conditions.
  • Industry experience will be considered as a plus.
  • Excellent English skills.
