Job Description

About Media Measurement

Our Media Measurement team uses state-of-the-art technologies and rigorous methods to track who is watching what, where, and how they engage with content. Our clients can evaluate who is consuming which content across different media, platforms and devices, and know what the audience thinks about that content. As people consume media content on more channels, and through more devices, than ever before, we are proud to provide a full view on media consumption.

About you

You are a passionate product owner who lives and breathes the product vision and customer's requirements. You are comfortable having difficult conversations with business owners (product managers), software engineers and technical architects to find the right increments of value that can be delivered in time but with good quality and high maintainability for your (internal and external) customers. You have an analytical mind but have the interpersonal skills to elicit the needs from what a customer wants. You have worked in agile teams, working closely with the plethora of roles needed to ship a product on-time and on-budget. You are an enthusiastic self-starter partnering with product management to refine and execute a product vision.

About the Role

As a  Product Owner in the Media Measurement team you will work closely together with the product team, your peer product owners, system architect and agile development teams across Germany, Spain, Bulgaria and India to deliver value to our Media Measurement platform and bring it to the next level. You will be responsible for a team backlog for an agile team developing data science solutions as well as working together with product managers and stakeholders to maintain, refine and prioritize a central backlog of features. You will be working with data scientists, data engineers and other software engineering professionals to define product requirements and accept the deliveries of the team. As a pivotal member of our team, you have the opportunity to lay the foundations of NIQ future product suite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backlog Ownership – Manage the team’s backlog, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with product managers, clients, engineers, and global teams to gather requirements and define high-value product increments.

  • Agile Execution and GenAI application – Drive Agile development practices, ensuring iterative and efficient product delivery with the support and application of GenAI.

  • Develop the “right thing” in the “right way” – Ensure ownership of the overall development lifecycle with the purpose of having a future ready, scalable, and efficient solution that is fit for purpose.

  • Quality & Maintainability – Advocate for best practices in testing, security, and software development to ensure long-term scalability.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment. A formal Product Owner certification is a plus.

  • Media & Advertising Knowledge – Understanding of technologies related to media consumption, audience analytics, and advertising impact measurement.

  • Excellent Communication – Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders and align priorities in a global context.

  • Agile & Lean Expertise – Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and backlog management.

  • Analytical & Technical Acumen – Ability to translate complex data-driven concepts into actionable product strategies.

  • Data Science & Machine Learning – A soft spot for data science and machine learning or even hands-on experience is considered a plus.

  • Cloud & Data Affinity – Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and data analytics tools is considered a plus.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape the future of media measurement with cutting-edge technology.

  • Collaborate with international teams in a dynamic, fast-evolving industry.

  • Work in a flexible, innovative, and growth-oriented environment.
