Job Description Summary:

As the Product Health Observability Platform Product Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of PayPal’s observability platform strategy, roadmap, and vision. You will work closely with multiple product teams in the Merchant organization along with cross-functional stakeholders to understand pain points around proactive issue identification across a merchant’s life cycle and define product solutions to address those. You will also lead the definition of a framework that product teams will use to define and track observability for their domains. You will partner with engineering teams to build a common toolset with a heat map of each step in a merchant and transaction lifecycle so that issues can be proactively managed before our merchants or customers experience them with the overarching goal to minimize/reduce occurrence of failed customer interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the observability platform strategy, roadmap, and vision.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and analytics, to understand current gaps and define product requirements.
  • Prioritize product features based on internal teams and merchant feedback, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that products are built efficiently, effectively, and on time.
  • Track product performance and make data-driven decisions to improve the product.
  • Evangelize the product vision for the Observability platform and ensure product roadmaps of all product domains incorporate the definition and delivery of requirements around end-to-end observability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to observability platforms and make recommendations on how to incorporate them into our products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in a software or technology company.
  • Strong technical background, with experience in software development, DevOps, or observability platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$96900 to $234300
