Division Specific Information
The Environmental and Process Monitoring (EPM) Business Unit (BU) within the Analytical Instruments Group is a leader in the development of air quality and process monitoring solutions that ensure worker health, cleaner air, and increased customer productivity. This role is remote and open to candidates located in Massachusetts or the Madison, WI area, with the ability to travel periodically to company locations, including Tewksbury and Waltham, MA, or Madison, WI, as needed.
Location
This is a fully remote position. However, we are seeking candidates that are currently based near and can collaborate with the following Thermo Fisher sites: Madison, WI or Tewksbury, MA. Unfortunately, relocation assistance is NOT provided.

- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.
Position Summary
The Product Manager will be part of the EPM Product Management team, taking charge of the gas analyzer portfolio. You will drive global product line strategies, manage product life cycles, lead VOC activities, define market requirements, and develop growth opportunities in new and existing segments.
Key Responsibilities
Full business ownership/accountability for delivering financial results for the assigned product line(s)
Connect with key customers, developing trusted partner relationships to understand their workflows and future business needs
Translate customer needs and insights into product development pipelines
Develop product portfolio, product roadmaps, and new initiatives in collaboration with R&D
Build and oversee the annual marketing plan for the product portfolio, ensuring flawless execution across the ‘4 Ps & 3Cs’ of marketing
Provide strategic direction for all product and portfolio-related projects
Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams in Marketing, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Commercial groups
Education/ Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field; MBA preferred with 7 + years in industry
3+ years experience in product management and/or marketing leadership required
Familiarity with analytical and/or industrial instrument industry preferred
Prior experience with air quality and process gas instrumentation beneficial
Experience in global environments preferred
Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and achieve results in a matrix environment
Skills & Abilities
Adept at influencing in a matrixed environment, driving accountability to timelines
Comfortable making independent decisions and embracing change
Strong attention to detail and project management skills for timely results across projects
Ability to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriately
Up to 25% travel required
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Wisconsin is $113,500.00–$150,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
