The working hours for this role are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Role

The Product Engineer serves as the primary technical authority and lifecycle manager for the dimensional, geometric, and tooling integrity of a specific portfolio of aerospace investment cast parts. While the Process Engineer focuses on the metallurgical and microstructural aspects of component production, the Product Engineer owns the physical envelope of the part. This role is responsible for interpreting customer blueprints, mastering GD&T requirements, designing or procuring precision casting tooling (dies, wax patterns, setters), and managing dimensional qualification (FAI). This role is located on-site at our Oxford, Alabama, aerospace investment casting facility.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct engineering experience with dimensional control, tooling design, or precision manufacturing—ideally within an aerospace investment casting or precision machining environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling platforms (preferably, Siemens NX).
  • Comprehensive understanding of GD&T, including tolerance stack-up analysis and datum scheme selection.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern metrology data layouts, specifically Structured Blue Light scanning 3D color-map inspection analysis and ultrasonic wall thickness testing.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining practices, tool-making standards, and tool material selection.
