The Procurement team is moving beyond traditional sourcing goals to create value for the enterprise by improving profitability, increasing supplier collaboration, and supporting new solution development. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations within the enterprise.
The Global Purchasing Team ensures an efficient Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for Indirect and Project-related transactions, supporting the overall purchasing strategy of the organization. This specific role offers hands-on exposure to this dynamic supply chain environment, focusing on foundational procurement processes and strategic category support.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
PO Lifecycle Support: Assist in reviewing and approving low-complexity Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs), learning to ensure compliance with company policy.
Process Management Assistance: Support the full PO lifecycle by helping to resolve invoice discrepancies, manage the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) process, and perform timely PO closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Accounts Payable (AP) team and internal business partners to streamline invoice and payment processes.
Category Strategy Familiarization: Learn about assigned procurement categories and assist Category Managers with their daily tasks, including becoming familiar with key suppliers and established policies.
Direct experience with the end-to-end procure-to-pay process.
Exposure to strategic sourcing and category management.
Cross-functional business communication and problem-solving skills.
Internal Relations: Build relationships with internal teams, serving as an initial point of contact for routine purchasing-related inquiries.
Operational Learning: Acquire an understanding of existing procurement systems (Oracle iProcurement and Coupa), operations, and business processes.
Project Involvement: Collaborate on assigned projects and undertake additional tasks as directed by management, providing exposure to broader supply chain initiatives.
Basic Requirements
Fluent in English, other languages would be an asset
Student status is a must
Ability to work on the afternoon shift (14-22)
Part-time to full-time availability (30–40 hours/week)
Willing to support a hybrid work model
Strong desire to learn and work toward a career in Procurement.
Computer savvy and ability to manage, analyze and present data in meaningful formats
Good Excel/Google Sheet skills
Strong interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
