Procurement Specialist – IT Hardware & Telecom

Gross Salary Range: 200,000 – 240,000 RON Annual
Role Overview
We are seeking a tactical IT Procurement Specialist to procure and manage IT hardware and telecommunications equipment and services required for daily business operations, infrastructure projects, and connectivity needs.
In this global role, you will support internal customers by ensuring timely procurement, replacement, and lifecycle management of IT hardware assets and telecom services. You will ensure alignment with business objectives and contribute to value creation, innovation, and sustainable supplier relationships across the global supply base.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing / Contract Negotiation
- Participate in vendor sourcing, selection, and awarding processes for IT hardware and telecom services.
- Manage procurement of IT hardware (e.g., laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals, network equipment) and telecom services (mobile devices, voice and data plans, connectivity services).
- Align purchases with business requirements, technical specifications, and approved budgets.
- Assess vendor quotations and negotiate pricing, service levels, warranties, and contractual terms.
- Monitor hardware lifecycle and telecom contract expiration dates; initiate renewals or replacements in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities, including standardization, consolidation, and vendor rationalization.
Procurement Operations
- Review and validate Purchase Requisitions from internal departments.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy (pricing, quantities, delivery terms, cost centers).
- Obtain required approvals prior to releasing orders to suppliers.
- Support goods receipt processes and resolve discrepancies when needed.
- Coordinate with Finance, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice mismatches, payment delays, and delivery issues.
- Track hardware deliveries and ensure alignment with project timelines.
Contract and documentation Management
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies, approval workflows, and segregation of duties.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware assets, telecom contracts, warranties, and procurement documentation for audit purposes.
- Track and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within IT procurement processes.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience, with strong focus on IT hardware and/or telecom categories.
- Proven expertise in end-to-end process, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, operations (PR/POs) and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware lifecycle and telecom procurement models.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a global, matrix organization is preferred.
