About the role.
Join McCain at an exciting time of transformation within Procurement, where you'll have the opportunity to shape category strategies, influence key business decisions, and deliver meaningful value across Australia and New Zealand. This role owns the Logistics category portfolio, helping to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier partnerships, and identify opportunities that improve cost, service, and operational performance. The role is based in Melbourne and partners closely with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Procurement globally.
This is a fixed term project-based role required until 31 July 2027.
What you'll be doing.
  • Develop and execute category strategies across logistics-related spend areas.
  • Lead sourcing projects from market analysis through to negotiation, contracting and implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement initiatives.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities that improve value, efficiency and cost outcomes.
  • Manage supplier relationships and support continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor market trends, risks and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Drive governance, compliance and best-practice procurement processes.
  • Partner with finance and business teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with regional and global procurement colleagues to share insights and leverage opportunities.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supply chain, commercial, logistics or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience influencing decision-making and driving change across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, communication and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering positive business outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, procurement, logistics, supply chain or a related field will be highly regarded.

About the team.
You'll join a globally connected Procurement function led by McCain's Chief Procurement Officer and supported by procurement professionals across APAC, Europe, North America and Latin America. This role forms part of the ANZ Procurement team and works closely with both regional and global stakeholders to help deliver strategic outcomes for the business.
