Scope:
According to customer and internal specifications, designs and implements manufacturing processes and equipment for the manufacture of PCB’s, including process optimization and continual improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures and instructions in English.

- Focus on process yield and improvement.
- Interact with customers regarding process improvement and failure analysis.
- Support manufacturing by process definition and implementation.

- Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for process improvement.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in technically related field.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Chemical Engineering emphasis highly preferred
- 1 – 5 years electrochemical copper plating experience
- 1 – 5 years electroless copper plating experience
- 1 – 5 years ENEPIG surface finish experience
- 1 – 3 year(s) general PCB experience
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of relevant engineering software and Microsoft Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
To perform this job successfully, a certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt, or enrollment in the Tyco Green Belt Training is helpful.

This position is considered a medium- to heavy-duty position, meaning that the individual employee may be regularly required to lift and/or move between 25 and 50 pounds. In addition, the employee may be required to lift and/or move over 50 pounds with assistance. The employee will also be required to push/pull up to 300 pounds, a distance of 100 feet, once per shift using a cart. These physical requirements are necessary to move panels using a cart, and to move other equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. This position requires working with open-top chemical tanks.
The noise level in the work environment can vary between moderate and loud. When working in areas where the noise level is loud, hearing protection is required.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- Eye protection (safety glasses) are required when working in areas of the plant where eye protection is required.
- Face shields are required when handling chemicals, working over open process tanks, and when working around potentially flying objects.
- Steel toed boots are required.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
