We are looking for a Principal Product manager to join our team in a Hybrid capacity, reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management within the Product Management department. You will own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), with a strong focus on secure remote access, identity and security use cases, and continuously improving the ZPA administration experience through actionable insights and simplified management
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for ZPA platform capabilities aligned to business goals and customer needs
- Own the ongoing improvement of the ZPA admin experience, delivering effortless management, simplified control, and meaningful insights
- Write clear, detailed product requirements and manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through end-of-life
- Partner closely with Engineering, UX/Design, and Systems Engineering to solve complex customer problems
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to launch products successfully and drive adoption
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert, enable and support sales and other internal stakeholders through training and guidance
- Engage directly with customers to understand challenges, validate solutions, gather feedback, and identify new opportunities
- Conduct competitor and market analysis, staying current on trends in Zero Trust private application access, expansion, and integration opportunities
- Customer-obsessed and able to translate real-world pain points into clear product direction and requirements
- Data-driven and UX-minded, using insights to continuously improve admin workflows and usability
- Comfortable navigating complex technical domains and aligning diverse stakeholders toward outcomes
- Strong communicator who can clearly articulate strategy, trade-offs, and product value to technical and non-technical audiences
- Analytical and structured in problem-solving, able to drive clarity in ambiguous environments
- 7–10 years of product management experience, with significant focus on secure access and/or cybersecurity
- Strong technical foundation in policy and network security technologies such as VPN, ZTNA/Zero Trust, authentication/identity, public cloud, and networking concepts
- Proven experience writing high-quality product requirements and driving end-to-end product delivery
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results through influence
- Experience with cloud-based security platforms; familiarity with Zscaler offerings is a plus
- Proven track record of improving admin or console experiences using data analysis and UX best practices
- Experience driving integration/expansion opportunities and conducting competitive analysis in the Zero Trust space
- Strong customer-facing experience (discovery, validation, and feedback loops) with enterprise buyers and admins
