Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership medical diagnostic imaging systems. The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan as well as product-specific development plans.
We foster a culture built on our core behaviors: acting with humility and building trust; leading with transparency; delivering with focus; and taking full ownership, always with integrity.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

The successful candidate in this role will support existing CT systems products and new product development programs with component design, equipment design, engineering analysis, and planning/conducting rigorous reliability and verification tests. There will be an emphasis on hands-on engineering and component testing. This role requires interaction with service, manufacturing, systems, and design engineering teams across a global organization.

Main responsibilities for this role will be analog circuit design, including controls, high-speed data transfer, and power electronics. As an architect, you will be expected to drive design rigor on the team as well as coordinate electrical strategy with our digital architects and principal engineers both locally and with overseas design teams. We are looking for a well-rounded Electrical Engineer, that can execute on a variety of tasks (some fun, some mundane) as part of this super-awesome, fun-tastic team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design electrical and power electronics circuitry for Premium CT Hardware.
  • Design, document, and maintain power distribution architecture across CT platforms.
  • Strategize electrical and power design architecture for future-generation CT Hardware.
  • Drive design rigor while adhering to established engineering best practices.
  • Capture electrical design schematics using ECAD systems.
  • Review and approve PCB layouts completed within ECAD environments.
  • Drive and be accountable for operational excellence of assigned designs, projects, and engineering rigor, including feasibility analysis, cost-benefit analysis, prioritization, resource planning, execution, and closure.
  • Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing, and design documentation.
  • Develop innovative designs that meet requirements for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, validation, and testing of complex electrical systems and components.
  • Identify, select, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test equipment.
  • Evaluate engineering test plan requests and determine the best method and approach to achieve results.
  • Create, review, and execute development, verification, and reliability test plans.
  • Coordinate resources and equipment required to execute engineering development and validation activities.
  • Proactively resolve and escalate issues identified during product development and testing.
  • Clearly communicate status, issues, risks, and plans to management, especially when addressing difficult challenges or unexpected results.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of industry electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics and power conversion systems.
  • Circuit design and simulation tool experience, including schematic design.
  • Circuit board layout experience.
  • Schematic capture understanding and experience.
  • Experience taking designs from concept through prototype, testing, and production support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
  • Master's Degree in Power Electronics Engineering.
  • Switching power technologies design experience.
  • Practical experience with 150kVA systems and/or higher voltage (<1kVDC) systems.
  • Familiarity with digital electronics, switches, and flux capacitors.
  • Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, electronics modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques.
  • Power and control simulation experience.
  • Buck/Boost converter design experience.
  • Resonant converter design experience.
  • Design for reliability and design for manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated project planning capability.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects and programs.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
  • EMC-compatible design and solutions experience.
  • Knowledge of UL, ETL, IEC, and related regulatory standards.
  • FPGA/VHDL experience.
  • Global project experience.
  • Someone that wants to grow in the role from circuit board design to overall team design strategy.
Why Join the Team?

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the power architecture strategy behind advanced CT imaging systems. The role combines hands-on engineering, system-level architecture, complex technical problem solving, and global collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to influence the future direction of CT technology while continuing to stay close to the design, testing, and validation work that makes great products successful.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex architecture challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and balancing strategic vision with practical engineering execution. This is not simply an oversight role; it is a working architect position with meaningful technical ownership and significant growth potential.
