The ServiceNow Platform Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining
Cargill's ServiceNow platform to deliver scalable and reliable enterprise solutions. This position is responsible
for implementing advanced configurations, integrations, and automation within ServiceNow to support IT
Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and other enterprise workflows. The engineer
will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets business needs, adheres to best
practices, and drives operational efficiency across global technology service
Key Accountabilities• SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Designs and develops high-quality software solutions by writing clean,
maintainable, and efficient code.• AUTOMATION: Leads the application of internal software deployment platforms, continuous integration or
continuous delivery pipelines, and twelve-factor development methodology to automate the deployment process,
ensuring smooth and reliable releases.• COLLABORATION: Partners with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and other engineers
to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.• TESTING & DEBUGGING: Writes and maintains complex unit tests and integration tests, and performs
debugging to maintain the quality and performance of the software, applying test-driven development as needed.• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Recommends options for improving the software development and deployment
processes, and implements the approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.• DOCUMENTATION: Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications,
deployment processes, and system configurations.• TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed
applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- ServiceNow-Specific Responsibilities• ServiceNow Platform Management: Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including configuration,
customization, and integration with other systems.• ServiceNow Development: Develop and implement new ServiceNow modules, applications, and workflows to
meet business requirements.• ServiceNow Automation: Utilize ServiceNow's automation capabilities to streamline processes and improve
efficiency.• ServiceNow Upgrades: Plan and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to users
and maintaining compatibility with existing customizations.• ServiceNow Best Practices: Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and standards in all development
and administration activities.• ServiceNow Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders on
ServiceNow functionalities and features.
