Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate production of all regular and ad-hoc performance analysis, attribution and ex-post risk data for both internal and external recipients, with a focus on GIPS.
- Liaise with Barings front office departments to ascertain ongoing requirements and work with the team to implement these goals.
- Ensure that ad-hoc tasks and queries are acknowledged in a timely and professional manner, and that regular updates are provided as necessary.
- Assist other global team members as necessary and where reasonable to meet requirements and deliverables.
- Seek efficiency gains in our operational processes and work with technology support teams to drive automation and scalable workflows.
- Assist with required initiatives such as project management, documentation, audit requests, system testing and internal trainings when required.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Act as an ambassador for the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Progress toward or completion of CIPM, CFA, or similar professional qualification is advantageous.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of performance, GIPS and attribution methodologies across all asset classes, i.e. Brinson attribution, Fixed Income attribution and multi-asset attribution.
- Knowledge of performance platforms such as Aladdin, Factset, Statpro, Bloomberg, Morningstar.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, or other data tools is a plus.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to gather, analyze, organize and report information, results and recommendations.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to manage several projects in different stages of completion concurrently
