Where You Come In
We’re looking for a People Operations Associate to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day people and administrative operations that keep Chowdeck running smoothly.
In this role, you will own and execute core people operations across the employee lifecycle, working closely with the People team, managers, and employees to ensure processes are compliant and human. You’ll be a key point of contact for employees and a backbone of the People function.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where your work directly impacts employee experience, trust, and operational efficiency.
In this role you'll be required to:
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems and documentation.
- Support contract administration, letters, confirmations, and employee documentation.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leave, and general HR matters.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, internal events, and people programs.
- Partner with the People team to roll out company-wide initiatives and communications.
- Plan and coordinate company-wide events such as offsites, end-of-year parties, team bonding activities, and other internal celebrations.
- Manage event logistics including venues, vendors, budgets, timelines, and communications.
- Support feedback collection and continuous improvement of employee experiences.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and company guidelines while handling sensitive and confidential information with care and discretion.
- Assist with payroll-related inputs, confirmations, and employee queries in collaboration with Finance.
- Identify opportunities to improve people operations processes and documentation.
- Help build repeatable, scalable systems that support company growth.
- Support the People team with ad-hoc projects, reporting, and initiatives as needed.
You’re a strong fit for the role if you:
- Are highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- Have 1-3 years of experience in HR, people operations, or an administrative support role.
- Are comfortable managing multiple requests and priorities at the same time.
- Communicate clearly, kindly, and professionally across written and verbal comms.
- Handle confidential information with maturity and discretion.
- Enjoy operational work and take pride in keeping things running smoothly.
- Care deeply about creating a positive employee experience.
- Thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
