About the role -
This newly created People Data & Reporting Analyst position is a key role that provides data-driven insights to our People and Culture team and business leaders. You will be responsible for managing our HRIS (Employment Hero), creating insightful reports, and supporting key people initiatives through analytics. This role is crucial for ensuring our people's data is accurate, accessible, and used to make informed decisions. You will be a hands-on expert in all things data, reporting to the Head of HR based in Brisbane and joining a close knit, fun, flexible and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities -You will be responsible for:
Reporting & Analytics:Remuneration and Incentives:
- Assist with remuneration benchmarking and salary review processes by providing accurate, up-to-date data to leaders and Talent team.
- Create, maintain and update remuneration and bonus spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for payroll processing.
- Provide Finance with reporting to support budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Preparation and submission of data for FIRG annual reporting.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards, including workforce metrics, headcount, and turnover analysis.
- Exploring the use of other reporting and analytics tools (Tableau, PowerBI and AI) to enhance the reporting and analytics provided to the business.
- Conduct analysis on people data to identify trends and provide insights on key areas like employee engagement, leave, performance, and remuneration.
- Take the lead on championing the implementation of AI in the People and Culture team.
- Adhoc reporting as required i.e. Audit, WGEA, ISO2001, Leave and Finance
- Support the People and Culture team with data and analytics for key projects, including talent management, organisational design, and change initiatives.
Surveys:
- Lead the end to end employee engagement survey process, including data quality, question sets, analytics & insights.
- Prepare and send adhoc surveys as requested by the business.
- Manage and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy and integrity at all times.
- Serve as the key point of contact for HRIS-related queries, troubleshooting issues and providing support to employees and managers.
- Develop and implement HRIS processes and procedures to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Upload new and updated policies into the HRIS and follow up to ensure timely completion across the business.
- Ensure HRIS use is optimised and roll out new HRIS functionality as required.
- Key point of contact for vendors such as Cultureamp and FIRG/Mercer.
- Provide data and reporting support for annual and ad-hoc HR processes and initiatives as required, such as performance reviews and engagement surveys.
- Create mail merge documents for bulk issue remuneration and bonus letters.
- Collate, report and manage KPI’s across the business.
- Collaborate with the People and Culture team on joint projects, ensuring data needs are met and reporting is consistent.
- Any other adhoc tasks as required by the business.
To succeed in this role you will bring with you -
- Data & Analytics Expertise: Demonstrated experience in a similar role focused on HR data, reporting, and analytics.
- HRIS Fluency: Proven experience managing an HRIS (preferably Employment Hero) and other HR technology platforms (e.g., Culture Amp and Mercer).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, experience using AI and curiosity to enhance it’s day to day application.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data-related issues.
- Proactive & Autonomous: The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Legal Knowledge: An understanding of data privacy and confidentiality requirements related to HR data.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR or data-related role, with relevant qualifications.
