At GN, we know that payroll is more than a process—it is an essential part of the employee experience. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who brings attention to detail, compliance awareness, and a service mindset that supports employees across our global organization.
In the role of Payroll Specialist within our Global Business Services organization, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will support payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies. You will also play an important role in process improvements, reporting, and maintaining high payroll standards across the organization.
The team you will be part of
You will join a collaborative and supportive Payroll team that works closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, and external payroll providers. Together, we ensure that employees receive accurate and timely compensation while continuously improving our processes and ways of working.
Our team culture is built on trust, accountability, teamwork, and knowledge sharing. We value different perspectives, support each other's development, and encourage continuous learning and improvement.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including new hires, employee changes, terminations, and manual payroll adjustments when required.
Process payroll-related data received from HR systems, including Workday and other sources.
Maintain leave accruals and employee payroll records.
Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support accounting activities.
Perform month-end payroll activities and reconciliations.
Reconcile payroll registers with financial records and support payroll reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
Support the administration of employee benefits, allowances, and payroll-related taxation requirements.
Prepare and maintain payroll documentation, records, and reports.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures.
Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external service providers to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Support audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate payroll documentation and information.
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:
Hold a degree within Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Have experience working within payroll operations in an international, multinational, or shared services environment.
Understand payroll processes (Poland domestic or/and other European countries), payroll legislation, and compliance requirements.
Have experience working with payroll systems, ERP platforms, or HR systems (Symfonia) and Workday.
Demonstrate accuracy in your work and a consistent focus on quality outcomes.
Are comfortable working with numbers, reconciliations, and payroll-related reporting.
Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across different teams and locations.
Demonstrate effective organization and clear communication skills.
Address problems and improve processes with initiative.
Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Flexible working

We encourage you to apply
Even if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we welcome your application if you believe you have transferable skills and relevant experience. We highly value a mindset and motivation that align with our core values, supporting growth for you, your team, and the wider GN organization.
