The Solutions Engineering team is responsible for designing, implementing, and driving Cisco's Digital Resilience strategy for some of India's leading enterprises and strategic partners. We help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture by delivering innovative security architectures that enable secure connectivity, Zero Trust, cloud security, and cyber resilience.
As a trusted technical advisor, you'll work closely with Cisco Sales, channel partners, and customers to design, position, and implement Cisco's industry-leading Security portfolio while enabling partners to build long-term technical capabilities and deliver secure business outcomes.
Your Impact
As a Partner Solutions Engineer – Security, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for strategic partners, driving technical strategy, solution development, and partner enablement across Cisco's Security portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
Build and manage trusted technical relationships with strategic partners, serving as their primary security advisor.
Design and present end-to-end Cisco Security architectures aligned with customer business and cybersecurity objectives.
Lead technical workshops, customer presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) focused on Cisco Security solutions.
Develop Partner Technical Business Plans and drive technical readiness across Cisco's Security portfolio.
Enable partners through technical training, architectural guidance, and best practices across Cisco Security technologies.
Collaborate with Cisco Sales, Partner Account Managers, Channel Leaders, and Security Specialists to identify and drive strategic opportunities.
Stay current on cybersecurity trends, competitive technologies, and emerging threats to influence partner strategy and customer security transformation.
Support partners throughout the sales lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to post-sales technical guidance.
Provide product and market feedback to Cisco Business Units to influence future product enhancements and solution positioning.
Demonstrate business value and ROI by aligning Cisco Security solutions with customers' digital resilience and security transformation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, Security Consulting, Network Security, or Security Architecture.
Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or equivalent security certifications are highly preferred.
Strong hands-on expertise designing, positioning, and implementing Cisco Security solutions, including:
Cisco Secure Firewall (Firepower/FTD)
Cisco Secure Access (SASE)
Cisco Umbrella
Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Cisco Duo
Cisco Secure Endpoint
Cisco Secure Email
Cisco XDR
Cisco Secure Network Analytics (Stealthwatch)
Secure Service Edge (SSE)
Zero Trust Architecture
Strong understanding of enterprise security architectures, network security, cloud security, identity and access management, and secure access technologies.
Experience working with Channel Partners, System Integrators, or Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to drive technical enablement and customer engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience delivering executive presentations, customer workshops, technical demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) focused on cybersecurity solutions.
Strong understanding of Digital Resilience, Zero Trust, SASE, SSE, Cloud Security, Identity Security, and AI-driven Security architectures.
Experience integrating Cisco Security solutions with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of automation, orchestration, and security APIs using tools such as Python, Terraform, or Ansible.
Excellent consultative selling, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and executive decision-makers.
