Operations Manager, GSA (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)

This role focuses on building and improving how Smartly delivers work to new clients at the start of their journey with us. You will design scalable processes, create clear operational standards, and ensure teams have the tools and structure they need to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. This is a 6-month fixed term contract role, paid hourly, supporting a focused period of operational improvement.

What You Will Do
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive playbook that defines how teams deliver work to new clients
  • Build and implement governance models to support continuous improvement across processes
  • Create and maintain standardized decks, documentation, checklists, and delivery schedules
  • Develop reusable templates and frameworks to reduce duplication and improve operational efficiency
  • Identify bottlenecks, gaps, or unclear ownership in workflows and propose practical solutions
  • Facilitate retrospectives and lead initiatives that improve how teams operate over time
  • Act as the central owner of operational excellence across this area
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong experience in operations, program management, project management, or business operations
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and improve scalable processes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear, structured, and usable materials
  • Effective communicator who can align stakeholders and drive clarity across teams
  • Comfortable identifying inefficiencies and turning insights into actionable improvements

The base pay for this position is up to $75-80/hour. We take into consideration an individual’s background, expertise, and experience in determining final compensation.
